extension of the Montrose environment but more upscale, with Montrose Blvd. south of
Richmond as its heart and soul. The Museum of Fine Arts, Contemporary Art Museum,
Sculpture Garden, and Glassell School (all in 77005) anchor this area with an eclectic assortment of
housing nearby, including some of Houston's finest homes in Broadacres,
and quaint streets such as Vassar. Just north of 59 is the
marvelous Menil Collection, one of America's great modern art
collections, The Rothko Chapel, and more.
